The purpose of my research was to show the difference between GIVE volunteers and other voluntourist groups that exist. Genre's that are best in trying to achieve that purpose would be a flyer, an instagram and a powerpoint.
The audience's familiarity with my topic would probably be little to none as personally I had not even heard of GIVE before I decided to sign up for a trip. An assumption that the audience might make is that there actually might not be a big difference in how different organizations operate.
The way I will connect with my audience is with the use of the rhetoric device pathos mainly. Pathos will be best because it'll appeal to those inner desires the audience might have of wanting to help 3rd world countries or just wanting to go somewhere for a really cool experience.
The best mode that I could produce a genre in is a powerpoint. I believe that it's the best option as it'll be the best use of trying to inform what exactly makes GIVE different from its counterparts.
I'm not too sure what my best genre is, but my strengths as a composer is that I tend to make things relatable and very understandable.
